Documents Needed to Apply

Dubai school applications need a fairly standard set of documents. Getting them ready early — especially any attestations — stops paperwork delays costing you a seat.

Your child's documents

Passport copy and UAE residence visa (or evidence the visa is in process), Emirates ID, recent passport-size photos, and the birth certificate.

Previous school records

Recent school reports or transcripts — commonly the last two years — and, for older students, an official transfer certificate from the current school.

Attestation (don't leave this late)

Transfer certificates and some records issued outside the UAE often need attestation, and the steps vary by country and can take weeks. Start this as early as you can — it's the most common cause of delay.

Health and parent documents

Immunisation and vaccination records for your child, plus copies of the parents' passports, visas and Emirates IDs.

Always confirm the school's own list

Exact requirements vary by school, year group and nationality. Use this as a working checklist, then confirm the precise list with each school's admissions team.
